TRIPLE AUGHT DESIGN (TAD GEAR) FAST PACK EDC

 

 

We set out to create a high-capacity day pack that combined the advanced ergonomics found in mountaineering packs with the rugged construction and practical modularity of tactical gear. The result, our FAST Pack EDC, is 1800 cubic inches of versatility, modularity and ruggedness that will see you through your toughest adventures.

 

Versatility

From its inception, the FAST Pack EDC quickly became the pack of choice for our special operations customers, but it was rapidly adopted by civilians for use as an excellent mountain ruck for short trips, travel, or daily carry. Top and bottom compression straps allow for easy transport of bulky external equipment like rope and sleeping bags, and you have the option to remove the load-bearing waist belt for use as a utility belt, a first line belt, or a field expedient bandoleer.

 

Unique to the FAST Pack series is our Flashlight Cave, an external, bottom zip pocket which serves as a powerful ally when used in conjunction with a gear retractor. Simply attach the retractor to a flashlight, knife, keys or most any EDC tool and with a single motion to unzip the pocket, you have immediate access to these tools without having to take off the pack.

 

Modularity

The EDC is covered in PALS webbing that allows you to attach MOLLE-compatible pouches on the sides and back, easily customizing the pack for your specific needs. Additional 2-inch webbing underneath the PALS webbing lets you attach Tek-Lok™ mounted sheaths or holsters so you can be ready at a moment’s notice.

 

Our signature Transporter Tail is what happens when you take a beaver tail and apply the versatility, modularity and sophistication of tactical gear to it. Detachable with an internal pouch, the side release buckles of the Transporter Tail can be rapidly configured to hold odd-sized or large linear items like fly fishing poles, rifles of any length, skis or snowboards.

 

Ruggedness

We’ve delivered a pack made of the toughest, most durable materials to ensure you get where you need to go. The pack body is principally composed of MIL-SPEC 1000 Denier Invista Cordura® fabric, a high tensile strength composite nylon thread and webbing that’s nearly impossible to rip or tear. To alleviate wear at critical stress points on the pack, such as the handle, shoulder straps and top exit for the hydration tube, we used the same material found in Zodiac boats, Hypalon, for its abrasion resistance and rugged nature. In addition to locking cams that keep your tools and gears more secure, the MIL-SPEC NM DuraFlex Auto-Lok buckles on the Foliage Green and Coyote Khaki EDC’s are IR resistant providing you increased protection under the cover of night.
