Roebuck Silah Koruma yağı tatbik edilecek silahların öncelikle Roebuck Pasaçan Yağı (Solvent) ile iyice temizlenmesine dikkat edilmelidir.

Uygun bir viskozitede seçilen özel evsaflı bir madeni yağın nüfuz kabiliyetini arttırmak üzere gerekli özel maddelerin ilavesi ile üretilmiş kimyevi bir karışımdır. Pasaçan yağı, sanayide'de civata, somun, boru aksamı ve her türlü makine parçalarının kırılıp zedelenmeden açılmasını sağlar. Pasaçan yağı asitten arındırılmış, kimyevi reaksiyonlu bir karışımdır. Bu bakımdan düşük ve yüksek karbonlu çeliklerde paslandırıcı tesiri yoktur.
